What exactly is the Fuelled for Endurance Academy?

This is a 9 week live course and group coaching program designed to help you learn and implement all you need to know about fuelling your training as a runner and a triathlete. Each week you will learn a new topic and receive guidance on how to implement that into your lifestyle. You’ll be part of a Facebook group where you can share your progress on what your are working on and get support and feedback from me and others in the group. While knowledge is great, there is a difference between knowing what to do and actually doing it!

Who is this program for?

This program is great for any level of endurance athlete – in particular runners and triathletes. If you have a spring or early summer race, such as a half or full marathon or an Olympic or 1/2 Ironman race then this program will be great for you! This program will be for you if:

-do not know what or how you will fuel on race day

-you don’t know what to eat before different types of training sessions

-you suffer from GI issues

-you have a busy schedule and find it hard to prepare meals or get enough to eat

-you feel like nutrition is one of the main areas your lacking the knowledge and how-to in

When are the calls held?

Calls will be about 30-60 minutes long and held on Mondays at 7pm EST on zoom. Calls include me teaching using a powerpoint presentation on a topic and then answering your questions or coaching group members. This means, you can come to the calls with your own specific questions and get personalized feedback.

What if I cannot make a call?

No problem! You will have the recording within 24 hours and lifetime access so you can watch as often as you like. Plus, if you have any questions you’d like answered, you can send them to me or I’ll answer them within the group.

What happens during the call?

I will teach for at least 30-45 min and then have time for Q&A or group coaching. You will leave the call with a new habit to work on for the week – such as ideas for foods to buy to eat before a long run; foods to meal prep for the week; how to do a sweat rate test and interpret it.

How many hours a week do I need to dedicate to this?

About 1 hour for the call and some time in the week to implement your habits.

Is there a meal plan to follow?

There is no specific meal plan but you will gain a solid understanding of how much you need to fuel your training, how to know if you are under or overfuelling and how to portion and balance your meals using my meal templates. You will get access to lots of new recipes to try.

Any special food or supplements I need to buy?

We focus on whole foods for the majority of your meals. You will get new food ideas to try, but the majority of foods you need to fuel your body you may have at home already or can be found at your usual grocery store! You may need to use sports supplements like gels/ sports drinks etc to help you fuel your training.

I’m a beginner and this is my first race, should I still care about my nutrition and would this group be too advanced for me?

Now as a beginner is a great time to learn more about nutrition and fuelling your body. It will help you stay healthy and improve longevity as an endurance athlete. I have worked with beginners to seasoned athletes and all can benefit from the proper nutrition.

I have coverage for Registered Dietitian in my insurance. Can I use this for the program?

Yes most likely! I can provide you with a receipt you can submit to your insurance for coverage.

What Past Clients Have Said About Andrea

“Setting out, my main goal was to run a Sub 3 pb marathon without any washroom stops. For the Toronto marathon, I ran a 2:57:05 pb race. During this race i didn’t stop once, providing a race time that is a absolute representation of my ability’s on the day. Some of the secondary results we achieved was a better and clearer understanding on proper fuelling and recovery for the training I was doing. As well and improved race day fuelling and hydration.”

Marathon Runner

“Before working with Andrea, my understanding about nutrition was nonexistent. Even though I had completed several full and half marathons, my knowledge gap did not appear until I tried Half and Full Ironmans in 2022 and suffered. In 2023 following her nutritional guidance, I was able to PR by 46 minutes in my A race in May. She taught me how to fuel to train and perform. Thank you Andrea!”

Half Ironman Athlete

Her knowledge and expertise played such a critical role in my success running my first marathon. The best part was how Andrea also became one of my biggest cheerleaders, and I always looked forward to sharing successes that I achieved in training and my success after the race. Andrea was such a pleasure to work with and I look forward to working with her as I pursue more marathons!

I was able to successfully run my first ever full marathon. I was able to enjoy every aspect of the training, and I never felt depleted at any point. Race day couldn’t have gone any better, and I ran a far better marathon time than I ever dreamed I could!
