Join the Run & Recover Challenge!
A FREE 7- day Nutrition Consistency Challenge starting Wednesday February 7, 2024
You probably know that recovery nutrition is important… but there are still so many questions you may have. What should I eat? How much should I eat? How soon after? What if I finish my workouts late, should I still eat?
The challenge will help you feel confident in knowing what to eat and kick start having a regular recovery nutrition routine.
The goal of the challenge is to start refuelling after your training sessions at the right times with the right nutrients. By completing the challenge you can expect to start implementing habits that will help you:
- Recover faster, you will have less muscle soreness
- Improve your performance. The right nutrition after a workout will help your body make adaptations to your training
- Get stronger, improve body composition
- Reduce cravings and overeating later on in the day
- Have more energy to do what you love after long, hard run days

How the Run & Recover Challenge Works:
- This is a Facebook group challenge! So you will need to have a facebook account and be able to join a private Facebook group for challenge participants. You will “check in” each day via Facebook, using a photo of your meal and snack. Totally optional- You can also share on Instagram stories and use the hashtag #runandrecover. I will be providing daily videos, education and resources in the Facebook group to help you plan ahead and figure out what to eat.
- If you don’t have a workout that day, no problem! You can share a snack that is balanced with carbs and protein (more details will be shared closer to)
- What about other workouts? While this is called a “Run and Recover” challenge, if you do any other workouts in the week like swim, bike, strength, you can still join the challenge! These workouts still require post workout nutrition!
- In order to complete the challenge, you must post a picture of your post workout meal/snack (or a balanced snack if it was a rest day for you) for at least 5 of the 7 days. This may be tough and take some changes in routine and planning ahead but the goal is consistency, not perfection. Join others and learn new ideas from others training just like you.
- A few days before the challenge starts, you will receive a guidebook with all the info, tools, meal and snack ideas you need to crush this challenge.
- I’ll be providing training on live video every day of the challenge! Here are some things you can expect to learn:
- How much carbs and protein to aim for after different types of workouts (easy vs hard)
- How soon a workout do you really need to eat?
- Food or supplements? Plus my top pre-packaged foods for when you are on the go
- Top foods that support recovery from exercise
- Hydration and electrolytes
- Q&A sessions
- How to win: Everyone who completes the challenge (posting 5/ 7 days) will be entered to win prizes, including gift cards and a coaching session with me. Everyone who joins will also receive an exclusive discount for my new 8 week group coaching program designed to help with your nutrition for a spring half / full marathon – including how to fuel on a daily basis, carb load and create a race day nutrition plan.
- More to come once you register. And as always, if you have any questions, you can always email me: info@andreadochertyrd.com

Hi, I’m Andrea!
I am so looking forward to having you in this FREE challenge! I am pumped for you to learn new skills and get results, camaraderie, support, guidance and plenty of meal inspiration!
I am a runner and triathlete myself and have been working with endurance athletes for the last 7 years. I created this challenge because too often I see people skipping recovery meals due to timing, lack of hunger or understanding. I want you to learn the tools to fuel your body and make this a regular part of your workout routine.
