This homemade version is higher in protein than traditional tzatziki sauce because it is made with Greek Yogurt. Use this as a dip for vegetables, sauce on a wrap or sandwich, or dressing for salads.

Do you need help eating more vegetables? The trick is to have them chopped up and ready to go in the fridge. Pairing them with a tasty dip like this one doesn’t hurt either!

As the holiday season approaches, this dip will delight your guests as its both a delicious and healthy appetizer.

My best tip for eating more vegetables during the week is to prepare them ahead of time. Right when you get home from the grocery store, instead of putting your vegetables directly into the fridge, make it a habit to wash and chop them. Store them in clear containers in the fridge where they are visible. Then they are ready to use for snacks or recipes (such as salads, soups, stirfrys).

Greek vs Traditional Yogurt

Greek Yogurt is strained, so it is thicker in texture and higher in protein (about 3x more) than traditional style yogurt. Alternatively, you could also use plain SKYR Icelandic yogurt in this recipe. SKYR yogurt is also thick in texture with slightly more protein than Greek Yogurt.
